The Special Collections of the University of North Texas Music Library houses over 600 publicity shots, donated by Kenton’s publicist in the 60s, Noel Wedder. The first three series here come from that collection.

The series of photos from the 70s and Towson State were taken by Terry Vosbein. The “On the Road” shots are primarily from Peter Erskine. The Bob Graettinger graphs are a few examples from the hundreds of colorful pre-compositional sketches of the avant grade composer. The Progressive Jazz pictures are by William P. Gottlieb, and the photographer of the 1956 tour is unknown.

Below those is a section of scanned slides from Jim Amlotte's collection.

Also, check out this collection of photos from a 1975 gig in Florida, shot by Dick Swanson.

The following collections come from Jeff Amlotte's donation of hundreds of slides from his father's collection. Jim Amlotte was an important figure in the Kenton story, being bass trombonist, as well as band manager, and friend.

The dates listed come from the slides themselves, added during processing, not necessarily the dates of the photograph.
