Kenton’s Genealogy

Kenton’s family came to the new world early on. One English branch was well settled in Salem, in the Massachusetts Bay Colony, during the Witch Trials. Another English branch settled in Gloucester, Mass in the late 15th century. His Northern Irish ancestors are traced to the 16th century, including their move from County Antrim to Massachusetts in the 17th century. Yet another English branch arrives in Connecticut by the mid1600s.

In addition to his British/New England roots, his family extends to colonial Virginia in the early 1600s. This family moved through Kentucky and Ohio and across the midwest, by the time of Kenton’s birth in Kansas.
